📝 Note Format Preferences
Click the "Customize" button (look for the fancy pen icon) to set up your perfect note:
- Point Form: Get your notes in easy-to-read bullet points instead of paragraphs
Example: Instead of "Patient reports headache, nausea, and dizziness for 3 days" Becomes: • Headache x 3 days • Associated nausea • Dizziness when standing
- Pertinent Negatives: Automatically include important ruled-out conditions and normal findings
Example: "No focal neurological deficits, no photophobia, no neck stiffness"
- Risk Advisory Notes: Add helpful reminders about patient discussions and clinical considerations
Example: "Consider discussing red flag symptoms and follow-up plan if symptoms worsen"
Teaching LightScribe Your Style
Make notes sound like you wrote them:
- Click "Customize My LightScribe Note"
- Share 3 of your previous notes (they can be from any EMR)
Choose notes that best represent your typical documentation style - these will serve as your "style guide"
- LightScribe will learn your:
- Preferred terminology (e.g., "presents with" vs. "complains of")
- Writing structure (how you organize information)
- Documentation patterns (your typical way of describing findings)
💡 Pro Tip: The more recent and typical your sample notes are, the better LightScribe will match your style. Choose notes from your regular practice, not unusual cases.
